About this Poster

Cycling is fun and exhilarating, but can also be very dangerous. A tragedy happened in the cycling community in Kalamazoo in June 2016 that was too close for comfort. This piece is an ode to those who are no longer with us on earth, but riding the endless cloud highway.

Meet Ashley Stark

Kalamazoo, MI USA

I'm a designer and printmaker and am privileged to do it all from the comfort of my own home. I value the art community that I have been apart of throughout the years and subsequently, has lead me to be involved in many cycling pieces. I enjoy the process of it all and learning from each piece that I design and print.

Little Things

I like that the biker isn't overpowering and it isn't always the first thing that catches your eye. I believe that is one of the ways life gives you signs from those who have passed. It's not always the biggest sign, but often the little things that help you know that they are their watching you.

On Your Left

My worst idea while riding a bike was passing two girls taking up the sidewalk by going around them in the grass and then trying to "merge" back onto the sidewalk. OUCH.

Design Crushes

My peers inspire me to keep pushing myself harder to create new things and to have more confidence. I have too many design crushes to name here. I would like to say, "Dear People of the Art World, keep making! Because I'm watching and I love it!"
