About this Poster

There are so many illustrations of men biking, so I wanted to make a poster celebrating lady cyclists. This poster is an ode to the strong, beautiful, badass women who climb San Francisco’s fierce, lovely hills.

Back Story

Howling at the Moon

I incorporated wolves and the moon, symbols of female power, strength, intelligence, and community. I started off in a very silly and cutesy direction, but ended up with a much more minimal and elegant design.

Bonding and Wandering

Riding bikes is how I bonded with San Francisco and some of my favorite people here, but it’s also a good way to be alone and lost in thought.

Power to the Pedal

Cycling is a very empowering thing, and it helps me stay adventurous, independent, active, calm, and inspired.
