ARTCRANK at the 2016 Winter Cycling Congress
The Winter Cycling Congress is coming to the United States for the first time ever, and Minneapolis — a city that knows a thing or two about cold-weather biking — will play host. The three-day event that runs February 2-4 will bring together a diverse and international group of people with a shared vision of increasing bicycling and walking among people of all ages and abilities through the winter.
Wednesday, February 3: Bike Parade & After-Party
Grab your bike and join the delegates of the Winter Cycling Congress for a 5-mile joyride along the Mississippi. The ride will assemble in the driveway in front of The Commons Hotel at 4:00 p.m., depart at 4:30 p.m., and then end at Weisman Art Museum for the after-party, which officially opens to the public at 6:00 p.m.
ARTCRANK will feature a selection of handmade, limited-edition prints celebrating year-around cycling. Photographers Hansi Johnson and Ellie Kingsbury will also have work on display. The Weisman Museum will be open during the after-party until 8:00 p.m., including the new exhibit "Clouds, Temporarily Visible," as well as "Still...Life" and "Black & White."
Llight appetizers and beer courtesy of Summit Brewing Company, the official sponsor of the #WCC16 Winter Bike Parade. The after-party will conclude at 8:00 p.m.
This event is FREE, and open to the public. Bundle up, saddle up, and join the fun.
