Sky Ride

About this Poster

The design for my poster this year portrays the first time I rode on this bridge off the Cedar Trail with a few of my coworkers. I was instantly drawn to how this bridge looked and felt. For a bike bridge, it’s notably complex, not to mention incredibly fun to ride. I really love the sharp lines of this structure which are in contrast to the open sky. My goal was to create a simple design depicting this experience.

Riding In The Present

The dark and light colors set the mood and time of day. I love how the moon casts enough light to define some of the simple shapes in the poster design as well as define the mood. Looking at the poster, I feel like I am part of it, riding in the present, riding on the bridge.

Bikes That Fit

The best thing about my many bikes is that they all fit. It’s hard to find bikes for riders that are 6’8”. Thankfully I found some.

Over And Over

My old Russian ski coach used to tell me that repetition is the mother of learning. I think that applies to everything I do. The more I do something over and over again the better I get.
