About this Poster

I wanted to make a poster that makes people smile when they see it. I created a gang of dogs that come across a tandem bicycle to take on a joyride, but their legs are too short.

Meet Dana Kingery

Nashville, Tennessee USA

I am a designer that brings a sense of thoughtfulness to branding, packaging and illustration, and a strong believer in the power of design to solve problems and tell good stories. I have a quiet passion for everything I do, and you'll often find me putting my head down to get a good day's work in. This might have something to do with growing up on a farm.

Back Story

Bones For The Trip

There are a lot of little details that tell more of the backstory within the illustration. For example, the dachshund is too long for one seat and they packed some bones in the basket for the trip.

See The World

Bikes became a way for my family to explore the world together and grow up. It was something we could all do whether that was in a seat attached to Mom or a train of bikes and training wheels. Now, bikes are my way to explore and see the world in a new perspective, especially on my commute to work.

Be Like Grandma

My grandmother recently passed away and she has given me the simple advice of, "It pays to be nice." It seems like something small, but every time I make the extra effort to be more like her it has made my life better.
