I focused on one of the most basic elements of riding a bike, that of speed. I took snapshot of a bike speeding on by, snapped just before it was gone in a blur.
I'm a graphic designer living in Austin, Texas. I make my living building awesome digital experiences, but have a unending passion and a massive soft spot for printmaking.
In exploring speed, I was inspired by some concepts from science. As an object speeds away from us, its colors become ever so slightly redder— a redshift.
There's no better way to explore Austin with friends than on a bike with a six pack of Mexican beer and a bottle of Tabasco.
It's halftone heaven! I spent a ton of time working with my print shop homies making sure each circle and each overlay had a unique, distinguishable halftone.
